Acoustic and classical guitar!
Adults: Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? It is not too late! Playing the guitar is a wonderful stress reliever! Get that guitar out of the closet and learn to play!
For kids, learning to play an instrument improves concentration, math skills, social skills, self esteem, and helps develop self discipline. Give your children the joy of music!
Singers: There is nothing more fun than playing guitar and singing your favorite songs! Learn to read music and develop your ear for music as a musician as well as a singer.
Age and instrument requirements:
Guitar: At least 7 years old, can count, knows ABCs, can follow directions, and sit for a 30 minute lesson. Must have a guitar at home for daily practice. For younger children, nylon strings are recommended as they are easier on the fingers.
Private Lessons: $20 per half hour in my home studio in Sellersville, PA.
Rates are prepaid monthly. Missed lessons can be made up if notified 24 hrs in advance. Flexible scheduling for busy students!
Description: Your lessons are geared toward your own goals. I prepare a weekly lesson plan for each individual student. The student decides what type of music they ultimately would like to play. As a classically trained guitarist, I assist students in the development of strong finger technique, and incorporate music theory and ensemble playing in lessons. I provide students with the ability to choose and pursue student focused goals of learning based on individual preferences in styles of music. Students may choose their own favorite songs to learn including rock, pop, classical, country and folk.
I am a very patient and positive teacher and particularly enjoy introducing the guitar to beginning students. Adult students are welcome!
